Good Questions. Good Answers.

If you have questions, we have answers. Check out our FAQs below. If you need more information, contact us.

We all want to support the businesses that are in our communities. The small mom-and-pop stores that line our main streets are part of the identity of Pennsylvania. But today, more of us want to do our shopping online, and it can be difficult to find those local businesses that are selling their goods online. By compiling listings of Pennsylvania businesses that are selling products online – whether through their own site or third parties like Amazon, eBay, or Etsy – CommonGoods makes it easy for us to show our PA pride and shop local while shopping online.

When local businesses in your community thrive, so do their employees and families. Your community becomes stronger and more resilient. Small businesses shape our culture, are a source of pride and local identity, and create a sense of place. So when you buy from a local business listed on CommonGoods, you’re not just helping the business – you’re also helping your community. In fact, for every $100 spent at a small business, $48 goes back into the local economy. For a big box store or national retailer, only $14 goes back into the local economy.

CommonGoods enables you to discover local businesses within Pennsylvania that are selling their products online. Search for PA small businesses by product type, location, and diversity of ownership. Each business listing on CommonGoods includes links to the business’s online store where you can buy their products.

No – CommonGoods compiles listings of Pennsylvania small businesses selling products online. Those listings provide links to the business’s online store(s) where you can then buy their products.

Customers with issues about purchases should contact the business from which they purchased the item(s). A listing on CommonGoods should not be perceived as an endorsement of any business by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the Commonwealth is not responsible for purchases made through businesses that have a CommonGoods business listing.
